El Centro Hispanoamericano is a small, nonprofit organization staffed by a team of very dedicated and capable individuals. In order to even hope to meet the needs of the people who come to us for help, we rely on the generosity of volunteers, who are willing to give of their time, energy and creativity in serving their community and helping improve the lives of others.
Here are just some of the ways volunteers can help us:
• Helping with ESL and conversational English classes
• Legal assistance regarding immigration matters
• Helping around the office – reception, filing, documents, etc.
• IT expertise and helping with our computer lab
• Helping run computer literacy and internet courses
• Outreach to religious congregations and community organizations
• Communications: website, electronic newsletters, fliers, brochures
• Helping run our emergency food pantry
• Translating and being an advocate for individuals in need
• Helping with fundraising events and campaigns
• Helping run food and clothing drives
• Recruiting volunteers
• Helping organize workshops for families and community members

Los voluntarios son importantes para nosotros – usted puede ayudar!
El Centro Hispanoamericano es una pequeña organización sin fines de lucro con un equipo de individuos muy capaces y dedicados. Para poder si quiera aspirar a satisfacer las necesidades de quienes vienen a nosotros por ayuda, nos apoyamos en la generosidad de voluntarios, quienes están dispuestos a dar su tiempo, energía y creatividad al servicio de su comunidad y para ayudar a mejorar las vidas de otros.
Estas son algunas de las maneras en que los voluntarios pueden ayudarnos:
• Ayudar con clases ESL y clases de conversación en ingles.
• Asistencia legal sobre temas de inmigración.
• Ayudar con trabajos de oficina- recepción, archivos, documentos, etc.
• Experiencia IT y ayuda con nuestro laboratorio de computación
• Ayudar en los curso de computación e internet
• Contactar congregaciones religiosas y organizaciones comunitarias
• Comunicaciones: sitio web, boletín electrónico, volantes, folletos
• Ayudar con nuestro almacén de comida de emergencia
• Traducir y abogar por individuos necesitados
• Ayudar a recaudar fondos para eventos y campanas.
• Ayudar a recaudar alimentos y ropa
• Reclutar voluntarios
• Ayudar a organizar talleres para familias y miembros de la comunidad.
